Plain answers about what the vault is, how you use it day to day, and who can see it. The vault is in preview, so plan pricing is being finalised: reach out and we will send you the current rate card. If your question is not here, email us and a person will answer it.
It is a private memory for your business that your AI can read from and write to. Your prices, your policies, your suppliers, the way you word things, all the bits that normally live in your head or in a folder nobody else can find. You put things in by telling your AI to remember them, and from then on it answers from your business instead of guessing. It is yours alone, and nobody else shares it.
Every vault comes with its own setup page, and we send you the exact link when we hand it over. Open that link on a computer and follow the numbered steps. In short: inside Claude you add your vault as a connector, paste in the address the setup page shows you, then sign in with your email and your key on the With Voss screen that pops up.
It takes about five minutes and you only ever do it once. The setup page also warns you about the one step people get wrong, so read it rather than guessing. If anything looks off, stop and message us.
No. A free Claude account can connect to your vault, and so can any paid plan. The one thing to know about a free account is that it can only have one connected tool at a time, so your vault would need to be it.
Paying Claude gets you more conversation in a day and a few extras on their side, but your vault behaves exactly the same either way. Start free if you like, and move up if you find yourself running out of room.
Start on a computer. The screen where you add the connector only exists in Claude on the web, so that part needs a laptop or a desktop for five minutes.
After that it is connected everywhere. Open Claude on your phone and your vault is already there, with nothing extra to do.
Start with the word remember. "Remember our deposit is 20% and it is non-refundable inside seven days." "Remember Sam at Northside Timber is our go-to for hardwood." That is the whole trick.
It writes what you said into your vault as a note, and every conversation after that knows it, on any device. You do not have to name it or file it anywhere, that part is handled for you.
Just ask, the same way you would ask a person who works with you. "What is our deposit policy?" "Who did we use for the shopfront signage?" "What did we quote on the Robina job?"
It searches your vault and answers from what is actually in there. You do not need to remember what you called something, or where it was put.
Yes. Attach the file in Claude and say "save this".
Word documents and spreadsheets get read properly, so the words and numbers inside them turn into something your AI can answer from. PDFs, photos and scans are kept whole and handed back to you whenever you ask for them. A PDF is very often a picture of a page rather than real text, so we would rather keep you the original than file a bad half-reading of it.
Tell it what the right answer is. Your vault only knows what you have given it, so a wrong answer nearly always means it is working off an old note, or it never had that one in the first place.
Say "that is not right, the deposit is 20% now" and it corrects the note there and then. Every correction makes it sharper, and the earlier version of a note is kept, so nothing gets lost along the way.
Your vault only ever holds what you have deliberately put into it: the things you told it to remember, and the files you handed it. That is the whole of it.
It does not go looking. It never crawls your computer, your phone or your inbox on its own, and it has no way to wander off and read something you did not give it. If you connect your email and ask it to look something up, it reads only what you asked for.
You, anyone you invite, and us as the operator. A small number of people at With Voss can get in to fix or set things up, which is how we are able to support you properly. Nobody else has a way in, and your vault is not pooled in with anybody else's.
You take the lot with you. Your whole vault exports in one go: every note in one plain file you can open without us. Your original files come back to you too, just ask and they are handed over.
It is your business memory, so it stays yours. There is nothing to negotiate and nothing to unpick.
Your vault is a separate thing that sits on its own. If Claude has a bad afternoon you cannot chat to it for a while, the same as everyone else on the internet that day, but nothing at all happens to your vault. When Claude comes back, everything is exactly where you left it.
Yes, if you want to. Obsidian is a free notes app for your own computer, and there is an optional setup that keeps a copy of your notes there so you can read and edit them like ordinary files.
Being straight with you: it is a hands-on install, not a one-click thing. You install the With Voss plugin into Obsidian and turn it on, ask us for a plugin key, then point the plugin at your vault's address and choose the folder it syncs into. The plugin key is a separate key from your normal one, we issue it only when you ask, and it is shown once.
We walk you through the whole thing. Most people never bother with it, and they lose nothing by skipping it.
In time, yes. The vault is built on an open standard rather than something only one company can read, so it is not tied to Claude forever. ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini are all adding support for this kind of link and we will switch it on as they land.
Today Claude is the one that works properly, which is why we set you up there first.
Yes. Each person gets their own key rather than sharing yours, so you can see who did what, and you can switch one person off without disturbing anybody else. Tell us who needs access and we will sort the keys out.
We set you up personally, on a call or in your office, and we do not leave you staring at a screen wondering what to press.
After that the vault mostly runs itself. There is nothing for you to update and nothing to maintain. Setup help is always included, so a new phone, a new laptop or a new staff member is a message to us, not a bill.
Email [email protected] and a person will come back to you. Never put your key or a password in an email, we never need it.
